Data Handling
A practical summary of how federal V1 separates source facts, calculated results, certified evidence and operational metadata.
Authoritative payroll facts
Worker, hours, actual wage, fringe, deduction, gross and net facts are entered or imported by authorized customer users and validated before they become canonical payroll data. AI suggestions cannot write authoritative payroll facts.
Wage-determination evidence
Rates used by a project are tied to reviewed source documents and immutable project snapshots. Historical reports do not silently move to a later global rate record.
Certified evidence
Final certification creates immutable version and certification evidence with hashes and signer facts. A correction creates an amendment lineage; it does not overwrite the original certified artifact.
Files
Reports, payroll imports and evidence are stored privately. File type, size and signature checks are applied where supported, and customer downloads use authorized short-lived access.
Operational metadata
Operational logs and failure records are minimized. They are designed to contain event/correlation information and safe diagnostic codes, not worker payroll facts, OTPs, secrets, raw provider payloads or signed storage URLs.
Retention and deletion
Records subject to federal retention or legal hold are protected from normal destructive workflows. Archive states are used for ordinary product removal while historical evidence remains preserved as required.
